How old do you have to be to be a student at The Fort Martial Arts?
You must be at 18 years old. However, your parent or guardian can sign you up for classes offered here. Tell them about the health benefits, they would love to sign you up.
How old does my child have to be to register her for martial art classes?
We can train you little one from the age of 3 years old. Our age groups are as follows:
- Little Ninjas
- 6-12 years of age.
- Young Adults
- 12-16 years of age
- 16+ years of age
Do I have to sign a contract to train?
No. We are month to month basis. You can train all you want. If you don’t fell that martial arts is for you, we take you off the payment plan. No questions asked
How long will it take me to get a black belt?
Depends what discipline. For Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, it takes 8-12 years to get you black belt. We do have students that have earn their BJJ black belt before and after that time range.
Our Personal Defense System program is built for you to earn your black belt in 4-5 years.
Our kids program, is a little different. When the instructor feels a young one is ready for the next belt level, the student get tested.
Will the program be too much for a person severely out of shape?
Our martial arts program is built for anyone at all skill and physique levels. Our student come from all walks of lives: Soccer moms, lawyers, doctors, students, waiters, military and even NASA rocket scientist!

I want to compete. Does the Fort Martial Arts offer competition training?
Yes. We have many students that compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. The offer a safe environment for a student to sharpen their skills.
